I just recieved this in an email from my friend Jacqui.
I think this is important and TIMELY information,
so I am going to share it wilth all of Ya'll.
Christmas Cookie Rules...
1. If you eat a Christmas cookie fresh out of the oven, it has no calories because everyone knows that the first cookie is the test and thus calorie free.
2. If you drink a diet soda after eating your second cookie, it also has no calories because the diet soda cancels out the cookie calories.
3. If a friend comes over while you're making your Christmas cookies and needs to sample, you must sample with your friend. Because your friend's first cookie is calories free, rule #1 is yours also. It would be rude to let your friend sample alone and, being the friend that you are, that makes your cookie calorie free.
4. Any cookie calories consumed while walking around will fall to your feet and eventually fall off as you move. This is due to gravity and the density of the caloric mass.
5. Any calories consumed during the frosting of the Christmas cookies will be used up because it takes many calories to lick excess frosting from a knife without cutting your tongue.
6. Cookies colored red or green have very few calories. Red ones have three and green ones have five - one calorie for each letter. Make more red ones!
7. Cookies eaten while watching "Miracle on 34th Street" have no calories because they are part of the entertainment package and not part of one's personal fuel.
8. As always, cookie pieces contain no calories because the process of breaking causes calorie leakage
9. Any cookies consumed from someone else's plate have no calories since the calories rightfully belong to the other person and will cling to their plate. We all know how calories like to CLING!
10. Any cookies consumed while feeling stressed have no calories because cookies used for medicinal purposes NEVER have calories. It's a rule!
Those are the rules, I truly hope this timely message will enhance your
Christmas Experience. I know it help alot at my house.

The Polar Express
Today we were invited to go with some wonderful friends
to a special screening of the Polar Express...
yes, we already own the dvd, but who could pass on IMAX!?! not us!
it was wonderful! As we walked in we were greeted by railroad workers, & we were served
( by Waiters and Chefs in costume)
HOT HOT HOT - HOT CHOCOLATE!
along with some of the best tiny cinnamon rolls and other nummies.
and my favorite part, the conductor PUNCHED our Tickets!!!!! ( yes, special passes)
we got to take our loot on in the theatre, and i was able to sit for a small time by my sweet hubby {who thinks of movie houses as a great place to take a NAP!!! }
but reality occurred w/ children ,as one should expect, and we were soon separated- I was able to sit with some of my favorite non related kids!!! and i got to hold a very precious stuffed puppy. sooo sweet. as the movie started i was a little afraid. i just got bifocals and add 3-d on top of that i was afraid i would 'upchuck'. but i closed my eyes ALOT!!! lol.
you KnoW i did NOT want to waste that yummy HOT HOT HOT - HOT CHOCOLATE!
as the movie played i found myself with tears running down my face. i could hear all the little children just in AWE! trying to catch snowflakes, touching the train, afraid of the cariboo.
so much anticipation ( & joy) filled that room. And we even got to meet with SANTA, and every child recieved a JINGLE BELL!
I have had a hard time getting ready this year for the big day, no inspiration, no oopmf, no joy, no motivation other than panic, etc etc ... I WAS ALMOST {GASP} GRINCH LIKE!
and I think THIS was EXACTLY what i needed.
So I challenge all of you. Go find your FAVORITE Holiday Movie and watch it in the
right "atmosphere" ( set the mood up, cocoa, eggnog, special cookies, or even a turkey sandwich. BUT no soda and popcorn... make this more special! ) don't forget a blanket to snuggle under.
Grab your buddy or family and sit back and let the memories take you to that special place you remember best.
Enjoy.... and let the Spirit of Christmas start glowing in you.
( then let me know, how it went - cause i am so nosy that way.)

December? already?!!
so, i can't believe it. its THAT time of year again.
you know, when the mom gets to go CRAZY!
school concerts, church party,
grocery shopping, because you have just eaten
your family out of food in the last 4 days.
the kids have grown so new shoes and jeans too!
argh!! and then getting ready for the BIG DAY!
yup, my big girl has a big B-day coming.
she told me just 34 days to go!
WHAT!?! slow down baby. That is NOT a request, its an Order!
oh yeah, and don't forget Christmas in there too.
Did any of you try to shop on Black Friday?
i passed this year.
BUT, we did see Twilight, again. still,
not my favorite movie in the whole world.
But it was definately fun!!!
and we played games, and ate, and ate and ate.
and a funeral.
I think my most favorite memory will be
of the kids outside LAUGHING- almost hysterically.
they were swinging, spider monkey style. and having a ball!
fun to watch and listen to.
but we got some RAIN as well. What a blessing!
